Code of Honour for E-Mail Marketing

As early as 2003, leading users and service providers developed a Code of Honour for E-Mail Marketing. The members of the German Dialogue Marketing Association, Wiesbaden, who are active in e-mail marketing are establishing a framework for their activities with this code of honour. All regulations mentioned therein must be adhered to at least when addressees domiciled in Germany are contacted by e-mail. DDV affiliates that have signed the commitment promise to comply with applicable legal regulations, in particular data protection, consumer protection and competition rules. A controlling body of three industry experts monitors compliance with this self-commitment.
